A new ‘Occupy’ encampment sprouted up in Nanaimo on Halloween, at the corner of Milton and Hecate. And the occupiers of this new camp have no plans to pack up their tents and, uh, spaceships anytime soon. They are in this for the long haul.

Love it! Thanks for being the photo journalist here. It reminds me how morally corrupt our system is when there are empty homes and empty lots and homeless people who are discarded.
