Poetry in the Balance

Join me Thursday, April 5th at 7:00 pm for a free National Poetry Month Reading at Wellington Library in Nanaimo. I’ll be performing alongside my poetic comrades David Fraser and Mary Ann Moore.

The three of us will be laying down the rhymes on the theme of BALANCE. Where do we find it – and what happens when we lose it – in life, love, our bodies, our cities, our minds, and the natural world?

This special National Poetry Month reading is sponsored by the League of Canadian Poets and the Canada Council for the Arts. It is part of the Poetry Aloud series hosted each month by Greg Skala at Wellington Library.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event!

I will also have copies of Igniting the Green Fuse with me – the chapbook anthology of four Canadian women poets. We launched it earlier this month in Seattle at the Cascadia Poetry Festival as part of our panel presentation and workshop on Eco-poetry.

$10 for a signed and numbered copy. Limited edition of only 100 copies. Going fast! Chapbook features the eco-poetry of Kim Goldberg, Catherine Owen, Kate Braid, Heidi Greco.
