Poem Gallery Unveiling

Please join us for the official unveiling and poetry reading celebrating Nanaimo’s newest Poem Gallery display on Sunday, April 15 at 1:00 pm at the Nanaimo Harbourfront Library downtown on Commercial Street.

Some 35 poets from Vancouver Island have contributed nearly 60 poems to the new display. Many of those poets will be on hand to read their poems on Sunday. And, as usual, I will be your emcee. 😉

(If you are one of this year’s Poem Gallery poets and you would like to read your poem at the Sunday unveiling, be sure to contact Anthony Martin at the library so he can put you on the list: amartin@virl.bc.ca.)

The Harbourfront Library Poem Gallery, which faces onto Diana Krall Plaza, has become a popular feature in downtown Nanaimo. The display is changed annually during National Poetry Month each April. You can read about the history of Nanaimo’s Poem Gallery’s  here.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event. Light refreshments will be served.
